Cira Medical Services Inc. was formed on June 4, 2012, when Riverfront Medical Services and Medisys IMA were rebranded into one entity.

What is an IME?

An Independent Medical Evaluation (IME) is an impartial and objective medical assessment of an individual, performed at the request of that individual’s lawyer, insurer, employer, or insurer’s lawyer.

Where do Cira’s medical assessments take place?

Cira Medical Services leverages a national network of medical assessors to provide top quality medical assessment services in most communities across Canada. All Cira services are subject to the same quality control guidelines and consistent service delivery across Canada.

Can Cira Medical Services arrange transportation to an appointment?

Yes, Cira Medical Services can provide transportation, and if required coordination of flights and/or hotel accommodations.

What if I require a translator?

Cira Medical Services provides translation services through a national network of over 3,000 language professionals. We are able to arrange interpreting and translation services in over 100 languages and dialects.

Do you contact the examinee directly and arrange the appointment?

If required, Cira Medical Services will contact the examinee directly regarding the appointment scheduling and confirm attendance at the time of referral. To minimize non-attendance, a follow-up confirmation call is conducted 3 business days prior to the appointment.

Does Cira Medical Services provide educational seminars for clients?

Yes, Cira Medical Services does frequently provide various seminars and presentations for educational purposes. For more information, contact sales@ciramedical.ca

When can I expect the report?

You can expect to receive the report within 10 business days following the date of assessment. For Medical Legal cases, you can expect to receive the report within 15 business days following the date of assessment. Should you require a specific deadline, please advise us at the time of referral submission.
